In 1891, missionaries of Scandinavian heritage from America encountered Japanese people and culture as they began the mission work that produced the Japan Alliance Christ Church (Nihon Domei Kirisuto Kyohdan), Japan's 4th largest Protestant denomination. This report includes their actual letters published in Swedish in the Chicago-Bladet Newspaper from 1891 to 1924. They detail the sacrificial life and work of these early missionaries of the Scandinavian Alliance Mission, now called The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). This report includes photographs, profiles of the early missionaries, Japanese Christian newspaper reports on Domei churches 1924-1939, the churches' addresses, leaders and membership statistics 1905-1923.
